FALSE: Tequila is produced from a plant named Blue Agave Tequilana Weber. It’s part of the Agavaceae plant family.
 
Tequila Myth #2 Tequila contains a worm inside the bottle
FALSE: To this date, there’s no known knowledge of any Tequila brand that has bottled Tequila with a worm inside the bottle. There are some brands of Mezcal (Not Tequila) that do place a worm in the bottle.
 
Tequila Myth #3 Good Tequila is expensive
FALSE: If what you desire is good tequila, it’s not necessary for it to be priced high.
 
Tequila Myth #4 Tequila should always be enjoyed with Salt and Lemon
FALSE: By tradition, preference, or even bad-tasting Tequila’s, Salt and Lemon are optional. All classes of 100% Blue Agave (Blanco/ Platinum /Silver, Reposado, Anejo, and Extra Anejo) are appreciated better if sipped. The Tequila should be at room temperature.

FALSE: Once tequila is bottled, much like other distilled spirits, it doesn’t lose its qualities or character. This is assuming that the bottle is tightly sealed and properly stored to prevent evaporation.
